How to Set Up a Google Account and Create a Google Business Profile

Step 1: Create a Google Account


1. Visit Google Account Signup Page

Go to Google Account Signup and click "Create account." Select "To manage my business" to ensure it's set up for professional use.


2. Enter Business Information

  • First & Last Name – Use your name or the business owner’s name.

  • Username – Choose an email that represents your business. You can use:

  • Password – Create a strong password with a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols.

Click "Next."


3. Verify Your Phone Number

  • Enter your mobile number and click "Next."

  • Google will send a 6-digit verification code via SMS.

  • Enter the code and click "Verify."


4. Add Recovery Options (Optional but Recommended)

  • Recovery Email – Add another email for account recovery.

  • Date of Birth & Gender – Fill in the required fields.

  • Click "Next."


5. Agree to Google's Terms

  • Review Google’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

  • Click "I agree."


6. Secure Your Google Account (Optional but Recommended)

  • Enable 2-Step Verification for added security.

  • Adjust privacy and security settings in Google Security.
